Igor Semennikov is a painter, sculptor, designer
Honorary Artist of Russia,
Member of the Artists’ Union of Russia,
Medal Winner of Artists’ Academy of Russia and
Diploma-holder from the International competition “Gold Brush”.
Igor’s art promotes the Russian art abroad. His main themes are: mythology from ancient cultures, landscape, still life and book illustrations.
Creator of the “Asymmetrical plane” method (paint surface’s transformation theory), he based 3 monumental painting series in this technique, between 1990 and 2002, dedicated to the Slavic, Greek and Celtic Mythologies. The series are complemented by wooden frames sculpted by the author.
From 2007 to 2013 Igor painted 3 extensive art series:
– “Old Moscow”, about the history of Moscow
– “Old Saint-Petersburg”, about the history of St-Petersbourg
– “Belgian Provinces”, picturing Belgium cities landscapes
Between 2013 and 2015 Igor created the “Old Paris” art serie.
2016 – Igor created a series of drawings on the theme of Commedia Dell’ Arte.
